The Parke County Chamber of Commerce will hear an update on the plans for reuse of the Newport Chemical
Depot at their next Networking at Noon program set for Wednesday, April 28th from 12 to 1 p.m. at the
Benjamin’s II Family Restaurant located at 605 East Ohio Street in Rockville. Jack Fenoglio, president of the
Newport Chemical Depot Reuse Authority, will discuss the latest developments as the transition begins toward
the implementation of new uses of the Depot property. The meeting is open to the public.
The Networking programs are designed to provide Chamber community updates as well as opportunities for
Chamber members to mix and mingle with potential customers and suppliers. Lunch may be ordered from the
Wednesday specials menu at Benjamin’s. Items from the regular menu are also available, however, it is
recommended those wanting them should arrive a little early. Advance reservations are encouraged by calling the
Chamber office at 569-5565 no later than Tuesday morning, April 27th or by e-mail to
info@parkecountychamber.com..

The Parke County Chamber of Commerce recently conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the open
house for the new Half-Time Pizza and Subs restaurant located on the Courthouse Square at 120 South
Market Street in Rockville. It is owned and operated by Larry and Joyce Ramsey.
Participating in the ceremony were: (in front L-R) Chamber office manager Diana Ader; restaurant
employee Kyle Troutwine; owners Joyce and Larry Ramsey; restaurant employees Sara Thompson and
Kay Pettis and Kim White, Parke County Sentinel. In back (L-R) customers Terry and Marcy Conrad;
Chamber board member Cathy Harkrider, PCI; Chamber board secretary Debbie Skelton, Old National
Bank; Chamber board member Kristin Clary, county redevelopment director; Chamber board treasurer
Karen Durr, Russell and Durr, CPA’s; restaurant employee Mike Pettis; Chamber member Katharine
Marsolf and Chamber executive director Alan Ader.
The Half-Time is opens at 11 a.m. daily and closes at 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 p.m. on
Friday and Saturday and 9 p.m. on Sunday. Carry outs and delivery are available. Phone 765-569-3323.

The Parke County Chamber of Commerce recently conducted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the open
house for the new 1st Security Insurance office in Montezuma. The office is located at 961 North
Washington Street next to Machledt Furniture. It is owned and operated by Charlie and Kathie Jones
and is a full line agency offering life, auto, home, business, farm, health and annuity products. The
business also has an office in Dana, Indiana.

redevelopment director; Gwendolyn Moore, Machledt Furniture; Joyce Foreman, 1st Security executive
assistant; Charlie Jones, business owner; Kathie Jones, business owner; Janet Coonce, family member;

The Parke County Chamber and the Parke County Extension Service
sponsored a "Legislative Cracker Barrel" session on Saturday,
February 27th at the Parke County 4-H Fairgrounds. All of the state
legislatures who represent Parke County attended - State Senator Tim
Skinner, State Representative F. Dale Grubb, State Representative
Nancy Michael and State Representative Dr. Tim Brown.
